You know those extra holes on your running shoes? They're there for a reason. And if you use them properly, they might just save your toes. Here's how it's done:
1. Make sure you have a pair of running shoes with an extra hole at the top
2. Come out through the top hole, and then come through the EXTRA hole to create a loop
Do this on both sides.
2. Bring your hands from the outside of the loops and then in and grab the opposite lace
3. Tighten
4. Tie your normal bow
That's it!
This locks your ankle into the shoe so that when you stop to change direction, the lace grabs your ankle and prevents your big toe from jamming into your shoe.
