The Mindful Body Scan

Relax is the first of the 3 R's, and it's goal is to release tension trapped in the muscles and fascia. You can relax using acupuncture, massage therapy, or even a hot bath.

You might also want to try the body scan, a mindful meditation in which you bring awareness into the body and let go of those areas you're unknowingly tensing. If you're not sure where to start, try listening to the guided body scan below:

WEEK 1 MEDITATION: This is the core mindfulness meditation to use throughout throughout your intro to mindfulness and meditation course. Choose either this track or another body scan track to listen to. We recommend practising this meditation once per day.
